Vijiji Home of Light (VHL) is an orphanage located south of Nairobi in Kajiado, Kenya.  Vijiji is a small home that houses approximately 30-40 children placed by the local District Childrens Officer (DCO) for various reasons. Many of the children are placed by a Judge without documented family history while others have active court cases of recorded abuse, abandonment, slavery, and various economic circumstances.  The children will remain at Vijiji until they reach the age of 18.  No matter the history behind any child placed in the home, VHL strives to introduce every child to the hope that is found in Christ Jesus. Only in Christ alone can VHL be a home or sanctuary with security, healing, education, and growth!
